Great for open water swimming in the UK in winter April 19, 2010

Needed these in a hurry before my first ever Open Water Swim. These kept my feet sort of warm in spite of the water temperature in Semer Water being only about 2 degrees C - but it was March and after a very very cold snowy winter.
I ordered exactly the same size as I take in a shoe, and though they are a tiny bit small, they're fine overall. Next size up would probably have been too big.
Good service, and the boots do just what they say. Good to have the slightly thicker soles on these rather on the wetboot socks that I also considered - they protect the soles of your feet when walking on cobbly beaches/river banks and from those weird unidentifiable nasties at the bottom of the lake.
